The Canadian Football Research Society is a not-for-profit corporation that has been founded to promote, develop, and encourage the study of the game of Canadian football as a significant national and international athletic and popular social institution.
This Society is a not for profit organization which is operated solely by the members, who volunteer their time. Through membership dues, donations and grants, the group is able to produce newsletters and maintain this website.

CFRS Mandate
- To promote, develop and encourage the study of the game of Canadian football as a significant international athletic and popular social institution.
- To establish an accurate historical account of Canadian football through the years.
- To assist in the dissemination of the findings and studies derived from research.
- To acknowledge and assist in safeguarding the intellectual property of members.
